Meet our community
Chris is extremely passionate about permaculture and is the driving force behind the design of our space. You can usually find him somehwere in the gardens, with his head in a book researching the next project, or on an adventure with his daughter Phoenix.
Jo (also known as Trixie) is an amature folklorist and cryptozoologist. She enjoys writing, crafting, yoga, heavy metal and boardgames. She is mummy of baby Phoenix. Read her blog at www.folklorewithtrixie.com
Dan is our Black Country cowboy. He is currently building us a new chicken coop. He is our resident chef who makes one of the best shepherds pies you’ll ever taste. He likes to shoot things.
Alun is Dan’s best friend. He can turn his hand to most things but particularly loves gadgets that will make our lives easier. His favourite thing is chatting shit with a well earned beer at the end of the day.
John is a maker of things, a lover of puppets and a strong believer that biochar is the answer to all our problems. He is Violet’s daddy.
Steph is Violet’s mummy and a woman of many talents. She will bake the best bread you’ve ever tasted, can sort out the electrics in your camper and summon bees on command.
Violet is a very cute kid who likes to say please, flutters her eye-lids and asks for cuddles in order to get what she wants (it works!), she is as adorable as she is cheeky.
Phoenix is the youngest community member, she likes to whisper “bye bye” quite threateningly as she leaves the room, she eats sand and likes to ecstatically scream at Violet whenever she sees her.
