Competition Terms & Conditions

Eligibility:

• The competition is open to individuals aged 18 years and above.
• Entrants must have a valid Facebook and/or Instagram account to participate.

Entry Requirements:

• To enter the competition, participants must:
  • Like the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/idmwyd
  • Click “Interested” on the event page https://fb.me/e/4B4mEwYYS
  • Comment on the specified Facebook competition post with their favourite tree and why.
    AND/OR
  • Like the Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/idmwyd_permaculture_community 
  • Comment on the specified Instagram competition post with their favourite tree and why.

• Only one entry per person is permitted per platform. Entries to both platforms will account for two competition entries. Any more than one entry per platform will be disqualified. 

Competition Period:

• The competition opens on December 21st 2023 and closes on December 31st 2023. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.

Prize Details:

• The prize includes one ticket for an individual to attend the “Pruning Old Fruit Trees Retreat,” which will be held from February 15th 2024, to February 18th 2024. For more details see https://www.eventbrite.com/e/pruning-old-fruit-trees-workshop-retreat-tickets-749772789597
• The prize covers the course, accommodation in a single bed mixed dormitory and food for the duration of the retreat.
• Travel expenses, additional expenses, and any other costs incurred are not included in the prize.

Winner Selection:

• The winner will be chosen at random from eligible entries.
• The winner will be notified via Facebook or Instagram within 3 days after the competition closes.
• If the winner does not respond within 48 hours of notification, a new winner will be selected.
• You will NOT have to make any cash payment or give any card details in order to claim your prize – please be wary of scams.

General Conditions:

• By entering the competition, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
• The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.
• IDMWYD reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the competition at any time without prior notice.
• IDMWYD reserves the right to disqualify entries that are incomplete, illegible, or inappropriate.
• The winner has the option to transfer the prize to a friend or family member within 7 days of being notified that they have won. The transfer request must be communicated in writing to IDMWYD and approved by the organiser.

Privacy Policy:

• Personal information provided by entrants will only be used for the purpose of this competition and will not be shared with third parties.

Disclaimers:

• IDMWYD is not responsible for any technical issues, errors, or malfunctions that may occur during the entry period.
• Participation in the competition is at the entrant’s own risk.

Event Cancellation:

• In the event that the “Pruning Old Fruit Trees Retreat” is cancelled or postponed for any reason whatsoever, the prize of attending the event will become invalid.
• IDMWYD holds no responsibility for the cancellation or postponement of the event and shall not be liable for any incurred expenses or damages resulting from such cancellation or postponement.

Governing Law:

• These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the UK.

By participating in this competition, entrants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with these terms and conditions.
